Ugh

I am frustrated! I am at the awkward stage where nothing fits and maternity clothes are still hideous to me.... I can't find any cute ones! I am so pathetic, I went looking for some clothes and started crying in the dressing room, I blame it on the hormones, I have been crying over "adopt and animal commercials", so there probably isn't much merit to my little fit. Regardless, I have been limited to wearing sweats and feel a little depressed. Anyone have any great ideas or suggestions?
I also, have the sudden urge to go get my hair done, nails and or tan... I know they say women get the whole pregnancy glow... well it must have skipped this generation because my skin is getting horrible and I may sound nuts but my hair has become impossible to work with!
Okay, that is is, just needed to vent.
But I do love this baby and am excited! I just hate being pregnant so far.
Here is the start of the second trimester... A third of the way there...

Well, luckily with the way things fit these days, you can get away with not wearing maternity shirts. I just got all my "maternity stuff" from forever 21 since it's cheap and they have cute stuff. By the time you're done being pregnant you'll want to burn your maternity clothes. At the beginning stages I would put a hair elastic around the button of my pants. I've also seen those "belly bands" that help you wear your regular pants. Then once I got big enough for maternity pants I went out and bought a couple cute pairs of capris or shorts. My kids were born in Sept and November in Cali and Texas so it was HOT during each of my pregnancies. You look awesome! All of us have felt this way at one time or another during our pregnancies. Good luck! I hope this helps!

Corey you look so incredibly cute!!! As far as maternity clothes I thought old navy had some super cute things. Also Target has super cheap and functional clothes that "grow with you" some of the Liz Lang stuff has buttons on the inside of the waist line so you can use them for transition into maternity clothes and transition from just having a baby belly...At motherhood maternity they have belly bands they come in black white tan and mauve they are like 10-15$ and you can just unbutton/unzip your regular pants and they hold up your pants surprisingly!!! I loved them, it just looks like you are layering your T's. love you much Corey!!

My sweet love, You are so pretty preggo. I promise! I told you it was hard on me gaining the weight too but then think of all exciting stuff that will come soon it makes it worth it. Plus you have 7 months to come up with a workout schedule of how you are going to get thin again. I have a *new* bikini for Florida I am hoping to fit into after Marcus is born. I have ALOT of work to do.Just think, you only have 27 weeks left. I love you doll baby - You look great! PROMISE

I completely understand! With my first I felt the EXACT same way! This time around I knew what I was doing. First off, although they're expensive, GAP maternity jeans are the best. I'd recommend getting the full panel ones - they stay up the best. Second, get online to the GAP/Old Navy website, Motherhood Maternity/Mimi Maternity website and sign up for emails. They both have online sales constantly and then you'll be informed. Third, invest in good maternity clothes. It doesn't do you any good to buy cheap clothes that lose their shape, it'll only make you feel worse. Maternity clothes are expensive, but if you're planning on having more kids, the investment is well worth it and it'll help your self-esteem. Finally, pamper yourself like crazy. It's hard sharing your body with something else for 9-months and then to continue to do it for years. I've had 2 pedicures this pregnancy and have had my hair done once. Once that baby comes your time will not be yours anymore. Enjoy it while you can. Oh, and those hormones should taper off a bit so you'll have a little more mental clarity. Not a lot, but you should notice a difference over the next couple of weeks. I think the first trimester is the hardest with hormones. And once the bump looks like a baby rather than fat, you'll feel better too.
