oops

Ummm, so Andrew and I went out with my girlfriend Collete who caught some awesome shots of us... Andrew is a crazy stunt man. I thought i would get on and show off my mad skills. Only to get down the road and get my pant leg caught on a peg. I laid down a bike for my first time ever... Granted I am okay, but my leg is pretty darn sore and bruised. On the bright side Collette was there to catch the whole embarrassing incident on film!

Yeah, how hot is that ghetto jacket?

Inspecting the damage...

Thanksgiving Traditions...

Andrew and I were able to sleep in for the first time in I don't know how many months... Honestly that is what I was looking forward to the most. Andrew and I were planning on just relaxing all day and watching Harry Potter? ( I have never seen them). As we were relaxing in bed we decided we should start thinking of traditions we would like to have with our future familiy... Within a few minutes I had a wrapped present in my hands with a request from Andrew to open it... he decided that we can open one present early on Thanksgiving as part of our "new tradition". I think it is just hard for us to keep surprises.
Regardless... I proceeded to open my present , inside the book " Overcoming Anxiety"... yeah I was wondering too. I opened it up and Andrew had carved out a square inch in the center that held a beautiful 2 ct. pave diamond ring! I love it, I posted a picture for you all to see!

Andrew also got to open a present. He actually helped me pick this one out so he knew he was getting it. He got to open his brand new HP laptop computer. Don't worry he still has plenty to open still for Christmas.

I hope everyone has an excellent Thanksgiving! All my love to my friends and family!

Christmas!

Here are some more pictures from Christmas!

Me decorating the tree.... and coach in the background with his ugly hair cut.

Okay, turn your head sideways.... that is my tree topper! It is suspended... I am full of great ideas!

This is one of the stockings Collette and I created! Look how crafty we are... I will post pictures of my blue and green ones when they are completed!

See the ribbons coming down the sides of the tree? Those are attached to my magnificent star!

This is my favorite part.... Pretty.

Of course here is Coach, how cute.

Half way there.

I set a goal exactly a month a go to burn 1000 calories a day through work out... I did it! Today I completed my 30th day and I have a goal to continue on for 30 more... I am concentrating now on a few pounds I have to lose instead of muscle tone... anyone feel like joining in on a 30 day challenge ?

Sexy or Stupid ?

Andrew has grown up on motorcycles... So, I should not have been surprised when we bought one this past summer. After an afternoon of riding he came back and asked if I wanted to see pictures of his riding.... I was a bit skeptical but impressed. He took me out later and demonstrated his skills. I was a bit in shock he is quite good and his driving is very controlled. Here are a few pictures of my Man. Still makes me nervous though.

Today is one of those days that are just plain old good. I woke up got a nice little work out in, went to church, came home to a clean house and made cookies! To top it off I am listening to Josh Groban christmas music... Yup thats right it is November which means the holidays are here as far as I am concerned! So Andrew and I are going to play Dr. Mario after we take a nap who knows I may just work on a quilt or a drawing later. I love relaxing!

Oh by the way for all those familiar with the Twilight phenomena I am totally and "Alice" lol I found that fitting. Who are you ! ?

Sorry...

Okay, I know sometimes it gets old reading about my dog, but ya know what I don't have any cute kid stories yet, so...sorry.

So I was in our gym and I had not seen Coach for awhile, and every so often I would hear him whimpering from the other room. I would call for him and he wouldn't come... a couple minutes later he would whimper it again. I would call and again no answer. After about 6 minutes of this I finally go looking for him.... I go in the hall to nearly step on the little guy. He is spread eagle in the middle of the hall. He was wearing a sweatshirt (Yes, I occasionally dress my dog, he is dang cute.) Anyways, the hoodie on the sweatshirt got flipped over his head obscuring his vision. I called him from about 6 inches away, he stood up and ran right into the wall head first. I started laughing so hard! In the meanwhile he heard my voice and continued to try and find me and ran into the wall three more times. Finally he gave up and laid down in the position I originally found him. Only a second later to whimper! How cute is my dog ?

Again I apologize I have no life and feel bad never posting!

THIS IS GETTING OLD!

So I think everyone knows we seem to play the whole MRSA song and dance, on average every four months. Sometimes I get off easy and it is a quick recovery. No such luck this time. I had a weird pain in my chin Friday evening, I woke up early Saturday morning with no symptoms just compounded pain. I ended up calling off work. By the time evening rolled around my face was swollen, seriously I look like Jay Leno. I felt like a druggy, Andrew was calling any of his buddies who had recently had surgeries/crashes trying to track down some pain meds. My hero found some, by 11:30 p.m. I was able to drift asleep. Only to wake up at 6 a.m. in mass amounts of pain. Andrew and I decided I couldn't wait till Monday to see my physician. We drove to Rexburg to the ER room, only to be treated by an idiot who wouldn't listen to me! I have had this about 5 times and he was so lax about it, like it will fix itself and I was crazy! Every other time I have gotten this, they hospitalize me and get me on IV's pronto and isolate me. So now I am back at home still in pain and waiting for Monday to come... For once in my life I cannot wait for the weekend to be over!

These two photos have one thing in common, can you find it ?

Look at that...

I have heard that over time couples become more and more alike. But, who would ever suspect that we would develop alien heads and exoskelatons? ... and after only a year together! Well Andrew and I decided to take a nice long trip up to Jackson Wyoming on the bike. We ate at a local hole in the wall with great food... I froze all the way home and my butt still hurts. Overall it was a fun trip and a great view! We took pictures so you could see too! Enjoy.

Weekend Away!

Megan just happened to be in Utah for her Grandpa's birthday, which gave me the opportunity to see her! It was so nice to be around girl company! I live with my husband I have a boy dog, I work with all males, I feel very much in the minority. It was so fun to do our hair and make-up together and fuss about our outfits! We made good use of our three day outing. Of course there was plenty of eating, shopping and talking! We spent at least one full day shopping at several of the malls that Salt Lake City has to offer. We also made it a priority to stop at two of our favorite pastime food stops, Starbucks and the Mayan. We had a blast and here are a few pictures from the events. I also introduced Megan to one of Andrew's favorite breakfast nooks. So here is an Ode to Kneaders.... they have the best french toast EVER! Look at how thick and scrumptious this is! All and all it was an excellent three days and much needed ! Thanks Meggy, love you!

Thanks.

Over the last few weeks Andrew and I have been going through some hard times. Most of you know, that Andrew and I had the surprise of our life when we found out we were pregnant. We were thrilled and a nursery was set up within 3 days... only to find out a few days later that my body wasn't ready to carry a baby. Even with this disappointment, it was wonderful to see and feel the love and support of our friends and families. I want to thank all of you for all for everything, the phone calls, texts, and listening ears. After years and in some cases decades of friendships, I know you will always be there for me. I needed it.
The latest update is, I have been seeing an "infectious disease specialist" that will hopefully help rid my body of "MRSA". We are considering a year long treatment, but supposedly it will make me feel like crap, and will not permit pregnancy anytime soon. There is no way to know for sure if it will work, we are also concerned that if I get on a year-long routine of medication my body may become immune to it. In the event of another case it could get worse, because my body may not respond to treatments... we have alot to think about and figure out. All we know is that it will work out for the best and we can rely on friends and family. Thanks to everyone!

I wish I had a picture!

We have all had those moments where you wished you had a camera...Well here is my most recent moment. Andrew and I went to a cabin in Jackson and celebrated our first anniversary. It was wonderful to get away from everything and spend some time together. Coach (the newest addition to our family also came)... Coach only weighs about 2.5 lbs and often sleeps at the foot of our bed. Well I woke up in the middle of the night and Coach was not in his normal spot. I called for him and he comes running out of the bathroom. Hanging off of his face was an large piece of cardboard. He comes running over to me whimpering, I try to take the cardboard box from him... it was stuck to his face! I turn and wake up Andrew... (Andrew and I have been working on training him to obey). Andrew tells Coach to drop it but yet the cardboard box remains "stuck" Andrew has no idea, and is thinking he is not listening and snaps him on the nose. At this point Coach starts crying... Apparently there was a sticky insect trap under the bed. He must have gotten out of bed and found it and was unable to get loose, we ended up needing to give him a hair cut to get rid of the sticky mess. Poor little guy. It was the funniest thing though seeing this little fur ball with a cardboard box the size of him hanging from his cute little face. I wish I had a picture.

Poor Thing

Andrew was being a sweetheart and giving Coach a bath. He was wrapped in a towel when he rolled off the couch with his foot stuck... It broke two bones in his front paw. I felt bad for the little guy but boy is it funny watching him maneuver around! He is so cute. I am also adding pictures of the apartment paint job!

We've Adopted!

Hey everyone, well Andrew and I have decided we want a little one running around, so after a lot of careful consideration... we decided to adopt... from a breeder! We bought a little toy poodle, he is 1.5 pounds and will not get over 6 pounds! We decided to name him Coach. He is the smallest little thing, and follows us everywhere. Here he is!

After two weeks of settling, packing and unpacking, we are settled into our much LARGER apartment. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have space! We are living in Idaho Falls in a three bedroom apartment, three walk in closets, two bathrooms and vaulted ceilings! Hooray, I don't feel as much like a poor college student anymore! Here are a few pictures of it and the progress we are making!

Changes

Well this last month has brought on a lot of fun changes in the Decker household. As priorly mentioned I have been on a job search. I was right the job market here is horrible. I wasn't able to land a job in my major but I did find one in my minor. Anyone who knows me, knows I love interior design. I was able to get a job at Furniture Row, and I will get to help design family rooms with clients. I am really grateful for this position, it is a job that comes with the pay rate of a "real" job without the stress of a "real" job. It is the best of both worlds.

With the new job in Idaho Falls, we will also be relocating to the city about 30 minutes south of Rexburg. With Andrew and I both working, and the gas prices soaring we will be moving later next month. I am excited about the idea of getting a bigger apartment and redecorating again! Whoohoo....

Until we get into our new apartment I will be commuting, but I don't mind to much because...
I got my new SUV! I love it, it is adorable, it is a 2005 Escape and I like it so much!
